Thank you for visiting the website of the St. Charles Sigma’s - Upsilon Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. Our Chartered Chapter was approved on October 14, 2023. I count it a blessing and honor to serve as the Inaugural Chapter President and look forward to serving our brotherhood and our communities. As a Life Member and Sigma Man for more than 40 years, I am dedicated to the forward mobility of this organization and the chapter. To my brothers, I ask for your prayers, patience, grace, and protection as we develop into our new relationship as President and chapter. It is my mission to work alongside each of you with mutual respect and admiration as we continue to grow the Upsilon Zeta Sigma chapter. Our intentional plan as a chapter is to maintain the sense of brotherhood, the insight of scholarship, and a need to serve others. This is our calling! We are all born with a purpose. We have been tapped by a force greater than ourselves to answer the call of the day. That conviction is mirrored in the Fraternity’s motto, Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.” No one is coming to save us! We must save ourselves. Mary Mcleod Bethune said “Faith is the first factor in a life devoted to service, without it, nothing is possible. With it, nothing is impossible, so we move in the direction of our faith.” That kind of faith is about doing the work of service. Being of service is a sacrifice but it will bear fruit, the fruit of change for future posterity. As we continue to strive to impact our community, I pledge that our actions will be committed to excellence. I am honored to invite you to explore our website and learn more about our organization.
